MSC Cruises cancels Poesia voyage after USCG inspection
MSC Cruises GoCompareCruise Editorial Nov 3, 2026
MSC Cruises was forced to cancel an 11-day Caribbean sailing from Miami due to a regulatory matter involving the U.S. Coast Guard.
MSC Poesia was detained at PortMiami after a U.S. Coast Guard inspection, leading the cruise line to cancel its scheduled 11-day Caribbean voyage. The line stated that a regulatory matter arose prior to departure that could not be resolved in time for the ship to sail. Passengers were notified of the cancellation on Tuesday morning. The U.S. Coast Guard has not provided specific details regarding the inspection findings, though the ship had previously undergone an extensive renovation in the spring of 2026.
