MSC Poesia Cruise Cancelled Following Regulatory Detention

MSC Cruises GoCompareCruise Editorial Nov 4, 2026

MSC Cruises cancelled an 11-night Southern Caribbean voyage after the MSC Poesia was detained by the US Coast Guard at PortMiami.

MSC Cruises was forced to cancel a scheduled 11-night cruise aboard the MSC Poesia after the vessel was detained by the US Coast Guard at PortMiami on November 1, 2026. The regulatory matter was identified prior to the ship's planned departure, leaving passengers who had already boarded for two nights to disembark. In response to the disruption, MSC Cruises is offering all affected guests a full refund of their cruise fare and prepaid packages. Additionally, the line is providing a Future Cruise Credit equal to 100 percent of the original fare, which must be redeemed for a new booking by November 2, 2027.
