MSC Poesia Cruise Cancelled Following USCG Detention
MSC Cruises cancelled a scheduled sailing of the MSC Poesia after the vessel was detained by the U.S. Coast Guard in Miami due to a regulatory matter.
MSC Cruises was forced to cancel an 11-night Southern Caribbean cruise scheduled to depart from PortMiami on November 1, 2026. The cancellation followed the detention of the MSC Poesia by the U.S. Coast Guard, which cited regulatory deficiencies that must be corrected before the ship is cleared for departure. Passengers who had already spent two nights onboard were informed of the cancellation via letter. In response to the disruption, MSC is providing a full refund of the cruise fare and prepaid packages, along with a 100 percent Future Cruise Credit valid for redemption by November 2, 2027.
