Villa Vie Residences suspended operations last week, forcing over 200 passengers who had paid for long-term or permanent residency on the ship to disembark in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. The company cited rising fuel costs linked to regional conflicts as the reason for the suspension. The ship departed Cambodia on Wednesday morning, with some tracking data suggesting it is headed toward Singapore. The company's founder, Mike Petterson, indicated that the suspension is part of a 30- to 90-day process to restructure the business.
